Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Beach Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week, we'll make a list of our top ten something* and this week, it's our Top Ten Beach Reads! The little side note on The Broke And The Bookish's blog was that we could choose however we defined a beach read, so this should be interesting! I imagine it would be something light, fun, enjoyable and happy.
*In no particular order.
1. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows
This is a light, entertaining, fun read and it would definitely be a book I'd pack to take with me for a day at the beach!
2. The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum
How could you not want this classic with you at the beach?
3. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
This amazing book would be perfect for the beach.
4. Beautiful Malice by Rebecca James
Despite the intense topic, this is a short and light book, perfect for a day at the beach.
5. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
Well, who wouldn't?
6. When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman
I loved this book the first time I read it. Amusing, entertaining, emotional, intense but cheerful... great beach read.
7. Forgotten by Cat Patrick
This is a short book that tells the story of a girl whose memory resets every night, leaving her with no recollection of the previous day, but a clear vision of the future. This book also has a romantic twist and I think that it would be amazing to read while lying out in the sun.
8. Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
Need I say more?
9. Looking For Alaska by John Green
Actually, pretty much anything by John Green would make the perfect book for the beach. I chose this one because it's light, funny, not as emotionally damaging as The Fault in Our Stars... you know what I mean.
10. A biography of some sort
Though I don't have a specific book for number 1o here, I think any biography would be good to read at the beach.

That's all for this week guys, I hope you've enjoyed my list. As always, please leave me comments to all of your TTT lists this week and I'll be sure to check them out as soon as I get the chance.
Thanks guys. :)

    1. Hahaha I don't blame you! Your list is fantastic!

  7. May I introduce you to "Rumors," my novel described by book reviewers as a "juicy intrigue . . . fast paced. . . . Compelling tale" worth reading more than once! The story follows the web of intrigue as rumors create havoc in the lives of ordinary people. I hope you'll help spread the rumor of what a good read RUMORS is! Your followers will thank you! And so will I!
Would be delighted to do an interview with you after you read it if you'd like!

  8. Great list! I definitely agree with the Wizard of Oz! I gave you a follow too!:)
